The authors present a simplified method of radiant panels heating design. The simplifications in comparison with ČSN 060215 and also with more complicated theoretical calculations are founded by long-term development, experience and experimental knowledge. The proposed procedure enables to include boundary conditions, smaller height of panels suspension, influence of environment dustiness and also different slope of radiant panels in a simple way.

The contribution informs about possibilities and qualities of warm-air ventilation with regard to heat-insulating properties of construction structures

The article continues the similar problems published in VVI 4/2001, p. 168 “Summarisation of small local loss in designing plastic piping”. The contribution informs about one dearly paid experience and explains the causes of the design failure by means of a model example which can serve as a manual for trying to avoid similar situations.

The article informs about development results of the research establishments VUT Brno and VÚES Brno concerning the energy winning from renewable sources, supported by grant programs COPERNICUS. A special attention is paid to pumps (of the centrifugal and positive displacement types) driven by photovoltaic energy with direct-current and alternating-current electric motors.

The article informs in a brief manner (by an example) about the possibilities of LeTe software use for the calculation of the summer energy balance and of the internal air temperature in ventilated buildings.

The author treated the article with regard to government order No. 195/2001 Coll. according to which the usability of renewable energy sources is evaluated. It concerns the potential of reachable energy savings and also the local decreasing of the environmental load of outside environment. The article is oriented to evaluation of contaminants emissions and energy contributions when burning wood mass.
