Paper presents information from literature about wood-destroying and other wood-deteriorating fungiinth´s buildings. The attention is focused especially on species dry rot fungus Serpula lacrymans and wst rot ft.tngús' Coniophora puteana. High concentrations of bacteria, moulds and mites were found by the analysis of the wooapowder from the wood destroyed by fungi.

This article starts a free series of contributions dealing with the subject matter of "fire safety of buildings from the air handling technique point of view". The authoress concentrated on the escape of persons from the building caught by fire and characterizes standard groups of protected escape ways.

The article deals with systems where beside the classical systems with radiators another systems of floor heating are operated. The basic principles of designing these combined systems are presented and the examples of design solutions are also indicated.

The article deals with a simple and effective solution of problem occurring frequently with open water circuits equip­ped with equalization reservoirs, as it will be for example with refrigeration insta/lations with water cooled condensers used in air-conditioning systems. In these cases we also meet the situation described in connection with industrial production. The indicated solution represents instructions how to cope with this disagreeable problem.
