ln the contribution the project design describes the source for centralized heat supply for one village with combustion of straw eventually wood chips. Ecological advantages are pointed out that has replacing coal by biomass - renewable source of energy. Technical solution is complemented by economic analysis of operating costs and also social advantages for village people are presented. The heat source has been operated for the second heating period, it was delivered by Czech manufacturers and represents the pilot plant which could serve as example for analogous projects.
