Location of thermostatic control valve with valve head under radiator PDF 2.8 MB

Abstract...

New trends in ventilation, heating and WSW preparation in one-family houses PDF 826 kB

Abstract...

The article deals with new approaches, i.e. applicability or necessity of a complex solution of heating, ventilation and WSW preparation systems, especially in low-energy buildings. The attention is paid to the interactive relationship between ventilation and heating regarding the simplicity of control system, costs and whole building operation. Possibilities of different heating systems in combination with ventilation, eventually also withWSWheating, are described as well.

Industrial filter volume and pulse-jet cleaning function PDF 446 kB

Abstract...

Authors deals with the analysis of the influence of free volume rate on the outside (induced air problem) and also on the inside part (free space for the expansion of the air) of filter hose. It was confirmed that the larger these volumes are the better is the function of the hose regeneration. For the evaluation of the process uses authors the method of point calculation of various measured states, the method created by self. Respected are 6 points of view and 4 volume combinations. This contribution continues many files of measurements of pressure time changes and hose acceleration made by authors in resent years.

Evaluation of house solar systems PDF 80 kB

Abstract...

The article presents an overview of available (published) knowledge on evaluating water heating solar systems in latitudes similar to Czech Republic involving both north and south hemisphere. The paper is focused on simple equipment not combined with other elements (i.e. with heat pumps). The subject is geographically organized reflecting the systematic differences of evaluation in particular countries.

Ventilation measurements using CO2 as a tracer gas (Part 2.) PDF 1.4 MB

Abstract...

The topic of ventilation in dwellings was briefly described in the first part of the article published in the previous issue of this journal. Attention was paid to the importance of ventilation and to the possibility of using carbon dioxide produced by people for ventilation measurements. In this part, further results of the study concerning data treatment and error analyses are published. Existing calculating techniques and two new techniques (one-parameter decay and two-parameters build-up techniques) are described in details.

World Health Oganization warns against UV radiation from sunbeds PDF 55.3 kB

Abstract...

In August 2004World Health Organization (WHO) informed the EU new members about activities in the field of prevention and health protection against UV radiation from sunbeds. According to the WHO exposure to UV radiance is not recommended and should be efficientlly regulated. A draft international standard is being prepared within the global project Intersun.

Dust content measurement in cleanrooms according to ČSN EN ISO 14 644 PDF 56.4 kB

Abstract...

In the article the requirements for particle number measurement, measuring technique, and choice of individual parameters of measuring are indicated in order to fulfil the requirements of valid standard ČSN EN ISO 14 644–1 Cleanrooms and associated controlled environments – Part 1: Classification of air cleanliness.

Application of photocatalytic air cleaning in ventilation systems PDF 162 kB

Abstract...

Photocatalytic air purification is considered to have a great potential to reduce concentration of indoor air pollutants. Using this method also allows decreasing outdoor air supply rates, which consequently results in lower energy consumption. The article describes operation principle of the photocatalytic oxidation and summarizes results of the research focused on its effect on perceived air quality in office buildings.

Environment formation from the point of view of optimum and recommended micro-climatic conditions PDF 129 kB

Abstract...

The article continues the contribution of Prof. Ing. V. Jokl, Dr.Sc., published under the title “Optimum and admissible micro-climatic conditions for living environment” in the journal Vytápění, větrání, instalace 2/2004 [1]. At the annotation the author appealed to readers for discussion and further proposals and this created also this contribution. In the first part some supplements and proposals to the original article are indicated, in the second part a possible technique of living spaces ventilation control is described.
